But today, today it seems a little tainted or toned down if you may. We went from being the gospel to carrying it in our pocket and pulling it out when the right time came along. We actually have the chance to go to a building we label church, without persecution an hear the gospel preached every Sunday. But we take it in an let it tickle our ear for a day or two an then shake it out.
In the words of DC Talk "what have we become". We have let the Gospel go from us all the time to us when i feel like it. I can't wait for the day when we can let go of who we are an let Christ fully encompass our lives and let the Gospel take over. That day will be a glorious day.
Brother Stevo you posted an excellent fuel for the brain with Gospel.
ReplyDeleteThe time was 3:16... I've to share the Gospel with ya'll.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Amen, Stevo! I love ya and am thankful for these words today as I too forget to be it and tend to just carry it around. Here's to being not just seeing!
ReplyDeleteAMEN AND AMEN.....Great blog. I can't wait to watch God grow you. This truth is a confirmation for me to live God out loud and not put Him in my back pocket.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely said. It is my heart and my desire that I as well as the other Christ followers would live it. In our actions, our words, each day, each moment.
ReplyDeleteI also want to welcome you to the world of blogging. If it's your "bag" than it's fun! I look forward to reading more about the fuel that is filling your brain.
